Yay Update Finally laughing

Hey hey hey people, I know its been a while since I put an update on here, sorry for that. Anyway on with the news.

I just got back from Anime Punch in Columbus and let me say it was absolutely amazing this year, so much better than last time. Also it helped being there for the whole weekend but that goes without saying pretty much. Heres the rundown on what happened:

Friday: Arrived in Columbus around 3ish and checked into the hotel. Went down to see how everything was registration wise (registration ended up getting pushed back until 6pm because of printing problems). After finding out that it would be a while for registration we decided to get some lunch. After lunch we headed back up to the room and got into our cosplay costumes and headed downstairs. We checked out the vendor room and wandered around (getting pictures and such). After about an hour or so of standing in registration line we decided to head off to the Voice Actor Panel followed by more wandering, Blitzball, Open Mic and then RBG. After that it was the late night events of game rooms and Whose Line.

Saturday: I decided to wake up early to see the AMV contest since I entered Dreaming of Darkness, turned out I had very good odds at this years contest as most the videos entered were trailers. After that it was time to get back into costume and wander around more for pictures. Of course there was more RBG and game room visiting up until the autograph session. The autographs this year were great and of course I brought a small bag worth of items to be signed by Crispin, Patrick and Triston. All the while of waiting in line we got to chill to the music of The Spoony Bards (amazing as always). Following the autograph session I had to go and trackdown my cosplay buddy and go register for the walk-on. Technical judging went great (they loved the attention to details). As for one of the signiture events the Swim Suit Cosplay was not bad, it was rather funny to see the people racing in their costumes through the pool, wigs coming off, accessories sinking to the bottom / floating, all in good fun. After that we had to head off to get into the cosplay room for setup which took a bit but was well worth it. The skits this year were pretty funny ("Witch hunters don't shop at Hot Topic" skit, "Akatsuki: The Musical", One Piece "You are a Pirate" skit, and the FMA "Special Missions" skit). Then there was the walk-ons where we showed 2 of our poses. After the cosplay there was more wandering until we decided that we wanted some food, so it was off to the room for dinner. After dinner we went back down for more wandering and such until the rave opened without a line around 11:30. The rave as I will say was great, the music was good (although could have used a few better beats w/ less gaps / slowdowns). Our whole group had a great time forming up circles for breakdancing, crazy dancing, and just all out fun. We raved the night away until 4:30 with a slight break for the little medical incident that occured but all was better (get that leg better soon "Chaze"). After such a long night of raving those beds were even better.

Sunday: As with all Sundays for cons there are normally fewer people cosplaying and the couple good events left until everything must eventually pack up. We hit up the Pokemon themed RBG tournament to root on our friends and to just be plain entertained. After that of course some last stops to the vendor room, game rooms and such, followed by more wandering. After we decided to stop wandering and just chill by the upper atrium we just hung out and discussed various items of interest with friends until closing ceremonies opened up. There we got to hear all about the various stuff that went on, receive awards (check amv page for the latest wink) and eventually hear the gripes. Eventually we decided it was time to head out and hit the road and head on back home although it had been one great weekend. Till next time AP.

As for updates on me, I'm busy at work on a paper for one class, my capstone group project, and of course another AMV. Yes finally another AMV after it had been put on hold back in November. It is progressing pretty good and should be hitting beta stages eventually.

Updates on the webpage include: new links added for pictures of Anime Punch as well as videos from Anime Punch (see links / pictures section). The AMV page has been updated with the new award, and my stickam player has new convention themed music. Finally of course there is this, the newly updated journal post. I'm hoping to be able to stick with this a bit more often but yeah time is not our friend right now. Hang in there people good stuff is on its way and once again thanks for visiting smile

Welcome!

I welcome you to the new Lil' Yakka Productions.

After many months of preperations, design and tedious work the new site is finally here. If you have visited in the past you may notice that it is drastically different from the old site. Outside of a new layout and color scheme some of the pages have changed. The "freelance" page is a new addition which relates to my new side activity and has some info pertaining to what I can do to help. The "portfolio" page now contains my graphics portfolio, my programming porfolio and my video / dvd portfolio. The "links" page aside from the old favorite links now contains the other parts of my website, the webcam the flash games and my personal pictures.

Outside of new pages and major content moves all the pages have been updated and use CSS to keep my styling the same rather than HTML.

For those who are wondering, the forums are finally back as well. After a lovely experience from my old webhost I am going to back backups almost weekly. The forums too have undergone a style change and still need to have the rules posted but they are functional and prior users are still registered.

For those who have noticed I also have the page W3C HTML 4.01 Certified. If you do not know what this is feel free to check out their info page: Why Validate?

All in all the new site is much cleaner and more professional. I look forward to continuing to update it, updating you the readers, and continued support of my friends and our interests.

Once again I welcome you to the new site and I thank you for your continued intrest in my site

At long last!!!

Finally after many many months of consideration, planning, design and classwork my new web template is done. I am currently in the process of getting everything up on here again. One thing that you may notice if you've been here before is the new professional look. I decided to go with a photoshop template and stucture it via a table of course using javascript for the rollovers and pre-loading. Some other things that you may not notice, I have used CSS to style all my pages the same via an external style sheet. For those of you wondering about the new navigation, all the original things are still here... yes don't fret the games, pictures and webcam are now located under links. As for new additions to the nav you can see there is a freelance section. Also my portfolio will now contain my graphics portfolio as well as my programming portfolio. Anyway there is much yet to be done, so look forward to Lil' Yakka Productions version 2.

*Sigh*wassat, but some good news

Well spring break has come and gone, and still the Iron Chef finals have yet to actually happen. It has been the good ol' this is the time and day, then "oh, wait I can't do that" at the last min. Oh well it gives me some more time to get thoughts straight and work on more pressing stuff. My new video, yeah I have no clue when I'm gonna get around to starting that, but I promise it will be sometime after the Iron Chef and before summer (dont know about release, but it will be started before then).

As for my site everything seems to be in working order aside from some server downtime, I guess their host moved the companies server without notifing them ahead of time. Its all better now, I hope. I'm planning on adding a "link to me" thing in the advertisement box, along with a possible java / php link cycler to one of the links from my link page. Which I might add will be getting more links added to it. I guess the final thing I'll add is tell your friends and yourselves to join my FORUM tongue we need members DESPERATELY.

Later,
