OMG News !!!

Hey everyone finally some news good enough for me to post about. No website updates though, soon enough but none right now. I actually stopped being lazy and decided to work on the new Vicious costume. Yes amazing i know !! Anyway I dug out the sewing machine, stripped out all the pins from the temporary cord placement, removed all the buttons, belt loops, and straps. After that I pinned back the lower collar flaps to the inside and sewed them as well as hot glued them (for that extra hold ). Now all that is left is to add on the glod border cord and the new fastener to attach the swag and tassle to. Yesterday I made up the tassle for the coat. I took two packs of cotton thread / string, unraveled them, and re-wrapped them to a square of mounting board that i cut to size. I spread the string out flat tightly so I could easily cut the ends evenly. I did this for both packs and then gathered them together at the half point and tied them with one of the extra strings. I then wrapped the crown point of the tassle with brass wire and crimped it tight. Wa-la you have a tassle. I also decided that I'd try spraying it with the Motions oil / sheen spray that is supposed to make it shine as well as move easier (without tangling), we'll see when it drys if it works how I wanted it to (considering its cotton). The final bit of costume work was about a week or so ago, I sprayed my Jin wig with the Motions oil / sheen spray following the guide that was posted on the Cosplay.com forums. I shall say it was a great success, the wig hardly tangles anymore and it is much smoother w00t! It was always a pain trying to untangle it before, so I'm glad I found this. As for non costume related news, I finished my jury duty on Friday, the let us out early before lunch, but we still get it counted as a whole day. So it wasn't that awful, 3 days = $75 for me to sit in a room and do nothing. Granted it was very boring, but oh well. I got to experience the lovely buses of the city and all the fun that goes with that. Friday's bus ride was longer because I had to take the other route, but I decided I'd give Marissa a call, so we talked for a bit, but had to cut it short since day-time minutes, but hey theres always the nights. After the whole jury duty thing I've been looking for more job posts and such as well as continuing to stream my music for the friends. HEY HEY! *poke poke* *beep bitip boop* What's coming up? This weekend (which i seriously can't wait for ) I am heading up to Toledo to hang out with Chris and then to Ikasucon to hang out with Marissa YAY! Its just gonna be a day trip but well worth it and everythings always better with friends and a RAVE!! Other than that, not too sure, so keep checking back for updates. News & Update

Hey everyone its been a little bit since the last update, hope you havent missed me. Anyway the latest update you cand find on the site is only a very minor one at that. I have once again resumed direct hosting of my Chihiro's Moment video by special request. So for anyone else that would like to get / see this video nows your time to download and enjoy. Ok now for the news bit. This whole week and part of the last week I have been live streaming my music and taking requests. If you havent requested yet or tuned in, what are u waiting for!!! Tues: Not a whole lot to mention other than played Wii Sports (boxing) got my rating to 2025 YAY!!!! Wed: Woke up early ready to work on the deck, just to find out it was raining and going to pretty much all day. So instead of working on the deck we went to my Aunt's house to help her clean out her small garage attics. The other good bit of visiting my aunt was the fact that we got to see her brand new kitten Oreo!! He's such a cute, playful and friendly cat. If you would like to see some pictures of Oreo there are a few semi-ok pictures that I took with my cell phone I'll post the links at the bottom of this post, so check them out if you want. Anyway after we got done with that it was pretty much the standard daily routine. Thursday: Got to sleep in ... yay! After some breakfast and waking up I got around to my usual routine. Not a whole lot going on, so it was just a general sit around day. I played some Resident Evil 4 and got further, still waiting to get to the true evils of the game ... *wispers* "regenerators" ................... *shivers* .. *runs to the corner* Friday: Slept in yet again ... YAY!!!!! After I woke up it was pretty much the usual day again, with the added bit of going out to get my aunt a birthday gift / card. Other good bit for today, went out and saw 1408 finally. Overall I thought it was a good movie and a very very typical mind trip from Steven King. Of course there were bits of the movie that could have been better, but hey what movie doesnt have areas that could be improved upon. For those of you that I have talked to will know the other little tid bits of the day and my opions. Saturday: Dunno, technically it just started.. so it consists of a phone call so far Sunday: So far all that is planned is church, aunt's birthday visit and a possible gathering over at my friends house. More to come on all this later. Mon: .... Tues: .... bed earlier for jury duty which means no super fun late nights Other details, the nights have been fun talking with Marissa and enjoying all the randomness that can be pulled out of pretty much everything HEY HEY! *COLORS!* *poke poke beep boop bit-ip boop* Anyway thats about it for tonight, as someone would like to read my journal Later everyone, -lilyakka

Yay! Quick update

Hey eveyone, its shocking I know, the website has been updated 3 times within a week OMG! Anywho, that fix I implemented to fix the spambot problem on the forum seems to be working. YAY! As for the update that I added today, its a new award I received in the mail. My award certificate from Fanimecon. As with the rest of the award updates it can be found on my AMV page under the corresponding video and contest. Other news of going-ons, tonight I am going out to see the new Harry Potter movie followed by another fun night of singing some requested music and talking. *beep* .... *poke* ... *poke poke* .... Saturday I know that theres gonna have to be some yardwork done, but yeah it has to get done anyway. Sunday ... idk? Monday I have a meeting scheduled for 4:30pm with another company I applied to, they want to get some more information from me and find out exactly where my strengths are so they can setup an interview. So heres hoping to that going well , and thanks to those of you who have already wished me good luck *wave* The freelance work is currently on hold until I get around to getting all the information I need on what exactly needs to be cut out of the video, so yeah I'd like to get that done soon so I can go back to working on my new AMV. As for the costumes, no real work on them as work on the deck has started again because its not raining. But hey thats it for this quick update, thanks for stopping and reading. -lilyakka

Still busy, but a small update .. YAY!

Hey everyone, still busy over here working on the house projects, costumes and freelance work, but i decided to toss up an update thanks to some inspiration. Due to numerous spambots joining my forums and creating accounts even though I have auto account acceptance disabled, I have added a new modification that should stop the problem. The other update can be found on the AMV page, I have added pictures of all the physical awards I have won from the various AMV contests I have entered. Also I updated the "Special Thanks" list to include the new credits to those deserving people. As for what else has been going on? I have been running my live streaming request audio session this week, the friends and I are enjoying it rather much, so if you are bored, or just want some good music to listen to feel free to stop by my "webcam" section under "links". Once there wait for the flash application to load and enjoy, there is also a chat application built into it if you wish to make live requests. So its pretty much work on these projects, get them out of the way and enjoy life. I'll toss a shout out or two in here to those readers whom enjoy my work.
