Hey hey everyone. Its that time again ... UPDATE TIME!  After a lot of time away from journal posting and such I have gotten a bit of different things done, and a good number of things have occured. Ok so first for the site updates. I re-did all my old photogalleries that are my own (not linked through yakkaproductions.com), this new album software I found is pretty handy and makes creating nice flash & java albums alot easier. The other update is I added a new gallery to cover what just happened this weekend which was MATSURICON! So feel free to go and check those out, it was a blast and I'll cover the details below.Ok before I get into the details of this weekend, some updates to inform you all about. I finished my new costume about two weeks ago ... yay, now I can be Vicious. Everything with it turned out fairly good, the only detail that could have been added to make it better would have to be his bird, but oh well. Now for this weekend's details. Friday: Woke up .. did my usual morning routines, packed and then left to get a haircut and do some last min errands. Got back home a little bit later than I wanted too, but it was ok since everyone else had gotten delayed as well. So after finishing up the last bits of gathering I packed my car and hit the road to Columbus. I made pretty good time to Gage's apartment aside from the whole issue I ran into about parking, but I guess I should have expected that with an OSU home game being the same day. Anyway I ended up parking like a mile and a half down the road and had to walk to Gage's apartment, but once I got there I helped them unload their stuff and move it all in. After hanging out there for a bit I got called and left for the convention hotel. Once I got there I walked in and was greeted by a glomp from Marissa. So after I stoped and said my hellos to her and Ashley I checked into the hotel and we gathered up all our stuff and took it up to the room. We got into our costumes for that day (Samurai Champloo) and went back down, got registered and started to wander around checking out the various going-ons. Sadly the dealers room was lacking in anime, manga and candy / snacks. As for the events that we attended friday, they were: Sneak like a ninja & Who's Line is it Anime (Uncensored). The other things that happened were: dinner at McD's, swimming (YAY!), and late night hangout in the atrium (where we met Dr Hikaru). It turned out to be a later night of course, but it was a really fun day and it's always good times. Saturday: We all woke up around 8:30 went down and grabbed breakfast (Muffins, granola bars, fruit & juice ... where were the pancakes & waffles!?!  ) we then took the food back up to the room and went back to sleep until 10-10:30 when we woke up again and ate the food then. After that we got dressed into our costumes for the day (Cowboy Bebop & Sailor Moon) and headed downstairs for the events and wandering for the day. First up was cosplay pre-judging, followed by wandering, game room, pictures and the sort. Around 2:30 we went back to the main events room for cosplay. It was pretty good, and Ashley ended up winning 2nd place for Intermediate Craftsmanship ... YAY! After cosplay we decided to wander around for a bit more, then we headed up to the room to relax for a bit. We then got pizza (yay Hawaiian pizza ) and watched The Number 23. That movie was by far one of the most EMO movies I have seen in a while and I won't go into details about it. After the movie we decided to go swimming again. After that it was the RAVE!!! YAY GLOWSTICKS & MUSIC!! After the rave around 1-1:30am we decided to go to Krogers to pick up ice cream & drinks. After some fun at Krogers we came back and ate the ice cream in the atrium, discussed various anime and had some fun with playing cards.Sunday: We woke up around 9 to go down for breakfast, the girls were still tired, so Krys and I went down and got our food and theirs and brought them back breakfast in bed After laying there for a bit we finally ate and then had some random fun on Krys' laptop and then got in costume and started packing. After checking out of the hotel and packing the cars we went back on into the convention and sat around talking with some friends. After that we checked out the dealers room for last day deals, took some pictures, and wandered around until 2-ish when we went to the Cosplay feedback panel for some good to know info. Finally we decided it was time to get leaving as we all had to drive 2 hours+ to get back home  As always we don't want to leave and its hard to say goodbyes again  , but at least theres online & phone for the time being. The trip home went by pretty quickly as the whole time was spent on the phone and listening to music. It was a great weekend and as always its great to come away knowing you have good friends and new friends. *poke poke tickle glomp pounce hug* Anyway I don't really know what else to talk about for this posting, so I will end it at that.
